Daniel Island
Daniel Island is a large island located 3 miles north of the Charleston Harbor between the Cooper and Wando Rivers. It began as a a planned community in 1995 and continues today. Daniel Island offers its residents a quaint town-like atmosphere that is thriving and growing where people live, work, learn and play. Daniel Island Homes include distinctive residential neighborhoods with tree-lined streets. Traditional neighborhoods and a commercial "village" are located in an appealing setting, surrounded by marshes, rivers and creeks. Preservation of the natural environment is emphasized. Daniel Island's 23 miles of shoreline provide boaters and fishermen with water access.

Goose Creek
Goose Creek SC is the county's largest town, with a population of 30,000. The city has experienced significant growth in the past 10 years, becoming the state's 12th largest municipality. During the past 10 years, the city has become a major residential community for the Charleston area, primarily as a result of a large residential development project known as Crowfield Plantation. Each individual neighborhood has been assigned a name...

Residents enjoy the sense of community that has emerged over the area's long history, and appreciate the natural beauty that drew early settlers to Goose Creek. Over two hundred years after it was first settled, Goose Creek is just beginning to realize its potential.

Berkeley County was one of the first English settlements in the country. As such there are many historically significant buildings in the county. One is St. James Goose Creek Church, built in the early 1700s. This chapel is considered to be one of the best preserved rural churches of its time. Services are held in the chapel only once a year.
